Several Southwest Michigan beaches have been nominated for the title of Best Beach in Michigan by USA Today, and the public is invited to vote for their favorite.
USA Today has nominated 19 beaches for the honor, and on that list are Silver Beach in St. Joseph, Tiscornia Beach in St. Joseph, South Beach in South Haven, and Warren Dunes in Sawyer.
Of Silver Beach, USA Today writes, it “invites visitors to participate in plenty of family-friendly fun with its sandy beaches, playgrounds, and scenic waterfront promenade overlooking the shores of Lake Michigan.”
USA Today says Tiscornia Beach, just a hop away from Silver Beach, “appeals to families with its dunes, shaded picnic pavilion, and waters perfect for swimming.”
The publication says South Beach “has everything you’d need for a day of fun in the sun,” while it calls Warren Dunes State Park “a majestic coastal landscape with its expansive sandy beaches and wooded trails winding through the picturesque shoreline.”
Other beaches in the running for best in Michigan are in Grand Haven, Manistee, and East Tawas.
