Welcome Mat is Now in Front of The Wooden Door

When it comes to high quality cabinetry, the crew at the new Wooden Door on Pipestone in Benton Harbor can handle just about any task, but ask them to cut a bright red new silk ribbon together and you can almost stump them completely.

The Wooden Door has opened up shop this week and at Wednesday evening’s official ribbon cutting ceremony with the team from Cornerstone Chamber of Commerce, the trio of owners wielding the large (and sharp) ceremonial scissors struggled briefly to cut the broad stretch of ribbon, much to the delight of onlookers including Chamber Ambassadors, family members and friends.

Steve Wandel, Marshall Downs and Tom Wright are partners in the business, just as they are in ownership of the strip center that The Wooden Door now anchors at 1925 Pipestone Road in Benton Harbor. As they posed for the grand opening photos, they all grabbed a piece of the oversized scissor handles but briefly misfired on the actual cut when the countdown to action finished. Everyone got a good laugh, though, and the three mixed and mingled with clients, family, chamber members and others on hand for the affair.

In my original story here on Moody on the Market.com, I failed to note that Steve and Tom are partners with Marshall, who serves as the face for the business while Wright will be the one who ministers to interested parties in laying out the plans for new or remodeled kitchen, bath and closet projects at The Wooden Door.

Nevertheless, the rest of the story tells you what the new center is all about, so if you missed that story, here is an immediate link to tell you what’s happening at their new showroom along Pipestone:
