Southwest Michigan residents looking to upgrade their homes this spring will have a chance to score name-brand appliances at deep discounts—while supporting a good cause at the same time.
The annual Whirlpool appliance sale, a partnership between Whirlpool Corporation and United Way of Southwest Michigan, returns the weekend of May 2–3 with more than 300 new, fully warranted appliances available to the public.
The two-day sale will be held at the Clark Logic Hilltop Business Center, 211 Hilltop Road in St. Joseph, with doors open Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Shoppers will find a wide selection of major appliances—including refrigerators, ovens, ranges, dishwashers, washers and dryers—from brands like Maytag, KitchenAid, JennAir and Whirlpool, all offered at significant savings. Every item is new and backed by a full one-year warranty.
In addition to major appliances, the sale will feature KitchenAid small appliances and accessories, along with Gladiator garage storage products.
Pickup for larger purchases will take place at the Feeding America warehouse on Empire Avenue in Benton Township. Delivery and installation services will also be available for an additional fee through Stevensville-based Hassle Free Moving.
Organizers say the event is designed to benefit both local families and the broader community. One hundred percent of proceeds go directly to United Way of Southwest Michigan, supporting programs and services across Berrien, Cass and Van Buren counties. Last year’s sale generated more than $100,000 in just two days.
The effort is a key part of Whirlpool’s annual employee campaign for United Way, with volunteers helping source appliances from across the country and assist shoppers during the event.
The sale is open to the public, with both cash and credit cards accepted.
For bargain hunters, it’s a rare opportunity to purchase high-end appliances at reduced prices. For the community, it’s a proven fundraiser that continues to deliver meaningful support for local programs and services.
