The Annual Whirlpool Appliance Sale for the United Way of Southwest Michigan will be August 23 and 24 in St. Joseph.
The United Way’s Zack East tells us as part of its own employee campaign for the United Way, Whirlpool puts up for sale hundreds of items, all brand new, that can be purchased at a discount.
Last year’s two sales raised just under $200,000 for the United Way. East says this shows Whirlpool’s commitment to the community.
“In terms of fundraising, utilizing things like a sale like this, it’s fairly unprecedented that Whirlpool has been doing for many years to basically donate hundreds of appliances for sale,” East said.
East says this month’s appliance sale will feature all kinds of items from virtually all Whirlpool brands.
“This year we’ll have a lot of KitchenAid small appliances, including stand mixers for sale, along with dishwashers, washers and dryers, ranges, refrigerators, and much more, all at a very significant savings.”
This year’s sale is moving to the former Rosback building at 125 Hawthorne Avenue in St. Joseph, and East thanked Clark Logic for providing the space. The sale will be Saturday, August 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, August 24 from 9 to 1. Deliveries within a 15-mile radius are available for $100.
East says you can follow WhirlpoolApplianceSale.com to keep an eye on the items that will be available once they’re posted.
