Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance Rolls Out New Website

There are lots of ways to be impressed in the business community across our region, but if you want to see a real wow factor, point your Internet browser to the address of the newly revamped website of The Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance.

That dynamic team has been in business in Michigan’s Great Southwest for some 16 years now, and the clientele consisting of small business start ups they have helped since first bursting onto the scene in 2004 is rapidly becoming a “Who’s Who” of top notch small business enterprises in our midst.

One of the most telling sections of the WBC’s new website is simply their Client Directory. There, you will find such immediately recognizable names as The Mason Jar Cafe…Purely Michigan…and Lazy Ballerina Winery, along with the highly successful Final Design of St. Joe and M Squared Modern Hair. In fact, you will find their client directory has ballooned to more than 60 small business enterprises in our region.

Designed by Holt Bosse, the new site features a sleek, mobile friendly design, and provides visitors with a user-friendly experience, side-by-side with easy access to the event calendar, online registration for classes and events, and the ability to accept online donations.

The Women’s Business Center (WBC) at Cornerstone Alliance has helped small businesses start and grow in Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren Counties since 2004. The team at the WBC opens the doors of opportunity by providing targeted individuals who are interested in starting, expanding or growing their business with access to critical resources such as business counseling, financial education, and responsible financial products.

The WBC focuses on individuals who face barriers in accessing traditional financing or resources to engage in entrepreneurship and enhance their economic well-being, particularly women, people of color, veterans, and low-income individuals. As such, the WBC promotes and assists in advancing inclusive entrepreneurship and self-sufficiency opportunities.

Developing and nurturing home-grown business is key to the community’s economic future. The Women’s Business Center professional staff stands ready to help anyone turn their dreams of entrepreneurship into reality.

The WBC is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration to serve Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren Counties.
