Denise Bohn Outing Sunday

She was the strongest breast cancer awareness advocate in anyone's memory, and a survivor to boot. Denise Bohn's battles were legendary until she was murdered last spring, but her friends at Susan G. Komen Southwest Michigan are carrying on as best they can in the wake of her loss.

Earlier this summer a golf outing was conducted to benefit Denise's three young children, but she was also the driving force for Komen in our region with her annual Play Fore Pink Golf Outing, and that outing is coming up this Sunday, October 9th. Friends of Denise are dedicating this year's event to her memory and they are hopeful of filling the Lake Michigan Hills Golf Course to capacity and beyond.

Registration continues for the 4 person scramble event with on-site registration beginning at 8:30am on Sunday, followed by a 10am shotgun start under the guidance of course pro Wayne "Gooch" Yamaguchi, who was very close to Denise and her fundraising efforts over the years.

Sponsored by KitchenAid, LeValley Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and WSJM Sports, all proceeds from this Sunday's event will go to Susan G. Komen to continue the fight against breast cancer in our region.

You can sign up right now by click the link below, or by stopping by Lake Michigan Hills Golf Club on Kerlikowske Road in Benton Harbor.
