Even the busiest of people with seemingly no time to spare for even the simple joys of life like decorating a Christmas tree have great solutions when improvisers like Volunteer Southwest Michigan step up to the table. Once again this year, that organization is presenting their Festival of Trees in partnership with the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children in the Foster Care System.
You have the opportunity to purchase gloriously pre-decorate trees, wreaths, center pieces, and garlands and the organizers receive 100-percent of the proceeds. The ultimate win-win proposition.
You are invited to join an evening of fun while contributing to a great cause this Friday night, November 18th at the Inn at Harbor Shores located at 800 Whitwam Drive in St. Joseph. Sparkling themed decorated trees, wreaths, center pieces, and garlands will adorn the evening and all will be auctioned to the highest bidders. These one-of-a-kind pieces are created by artists, decorators, organizations, florists and some individuals who just love decorating for Christmas. They are perfect for your home or business.
Guests of the night will enjoy music by Mark Ficks Dance Band, along with dancing, live and silent auctions, generous hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer, cocktails, a martini bar, complimentary photo booth with instant print-outs compliments of Splash Photography and much more. There is a very special donation that will attract and thrill fans of the Chicago Bulls, so keep that in mind, Bulls fans.
Friday nights event at the Inn at Harbor Shores runs from 6:30pm to 10:00pm, and your $80.00 ticket price includes everything listed above plus one complimentary beverage ticket or $100.00 per ticket which includes everything listed plus an open bar for the evening.
CASA’s program mission is to recruit, train and provide highly selected volunteers to advocate for the best interests of local foster children in pursuit of a permanent home.
Volunteer Southwest Michigan’s mission is to recruit, promote, support and connect volunteers as they work to build a strong, caring community. VSM is the parent organization supporting the CASA Program in Berrien County.

Additionally, the night will feature a special raffle for $10,000 cash. Only 200 tickets were printed and they are available for $100.00 each, and the winner need not be present to win. The winning ticket will be selected during the Festival of Trees event, If all 200 tickets are not sold by the event it will revert to a 50/50 Raffle.
