Please provide an example of when you feel you were at your very best in taking action on the job or in your role.
As a mediator I have the opportunity to teach clients how to sit in conflict and work through it in a respectful manner. It’s powerful to witness that moment when tension gives way to understanding and collaboration. Helping families reach resolutions that bring peace and stability — and knowing I played even a small role in that — is deeply rewarding.
What’s the funniest thing that ever happened on your road to success?
Arthur and I have always tried to be leaders in our community. One way was when we ran as precinct delegates. What was funny was that I beat him by one vote (and I did vote for him). So every vote matters!
Who most inspires your personal drive for success every day?
My daughters. I want them to grow up as strong, confident women that know they can achieve whatever they set their hearts on.
What is your best advice to women in Southwest Michigan looking to succeed, as you have, in business?
Network as much as you can and learn from those that paved the path for you. You are who you surround yourself with and if your community supports you, then you will prosper.

I’m honored to be part of a group of women who lead fearlessly and make real impact. To me, being bold means using your voice, trusting your instincts, and showing up for others.
