The Michigan Maritime Museum in South Haven is planning its second annual Free Fun Fest for next month.
The museum says the event on June 6 will be a fun way for the whole family to take part in hands-on activities, live demonstrations, carnival-style games, robotics displays, emergency vehicle tours, and dockside tours of the historic tall ship, Friends Good Will. Limited free boat rides, a fairy forest walk, a giant dino dig, and complimentary ice cream and root beer will also be offered.
The museum says more than four dozen businesses and organizations are partnering to make the event possible, including the city of South Haven, local schools, police and fire departments, and tourism agencies.
A free shuttle will run throughout the day between the South Haven Senior Center, South Haven City Hall, and the museum’s campus, and they’ll have food and raffle tickets available.
Proceeds from the Free Fun Fest will support museum programming. The event will be on Saturday, June 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Michigan Maritime Museum.
