Confident
Fearless

Please provide an example of when you feel you were at your very best in taking action on the job or in your role.
I am very proud of the veteran outreach that our office provides and establishing the VIBE program to communicate with the Veteran population.
What’s the funniest thing that ever happened on your road to success?
On paper I was the least likely to be selected for this position, when I started working as an assistant in this office I did not even know what a DD214 was, but I understood the Code of Federal Regulations and how to respectfully disagree with a VA decision. My success was bred out of frustration that veterans are not aware of the free resource this office provides.
Who most inspires your personal drive for success every day?
I am inspired by the veterans I meet – it is not a cliche to say it’s an honor to do this work.
What is your best advice to women in Southwest Michigan looking to succeed, as you have, in business?
Try…. you have to try and, in the process, you learn what works and what needs to be retooled, then you try again. Success is a process.
What does your selection to the ranks of the Bold Women of Business from Moody on the Market mean to you?
The fact that I’m included on this list means veterans are learning about the services our office provides – it’s gratifying to know our marketing efforts are working and vets are benefiting!
