Bridgman’s new Ace Hardware store is officially open.
The new store at Gast & Shawnee Roads on Bridgman’s east side has been welcomed by dozens of positive comments on social media, pointing out that a traditional hardware store was a missing piece of the business puzzle in Bridgman.
Ace occupies the space originally built by Rite Aid Pharmacy, after the drug chain closed many stores across Michigan.
Here is the opening announcement:
The Bridgman Ace Hardware is officially open! Our hours are Monday through Friday: 7am-8pm, Saturday: 7am-7pm, and Sunday: 9am-6pm. Our grand opening will be on May 9th and 10th. We will be posting further details about the grand opening in the coming days. You won’t want to miss that weekend! We look forward to serving the Bridgman community and the surrounding area!
The local Ace locations in Bridgman, Stevensville, Watervliet and St. Joseph are owned by the third generation of the Borre family, headed by Matt Borre. Longtime owner Chip Borre passed away last December, shortly after announcing the Ace expansion to Bridgman.
