The Michigan Flywheelers Museum is gearing up to host a unique fundraiser titled “Petals and Power Tools,” on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Community members are invited to sell, buy and swap flowers, plants, power tools and hand tools at this six -hour event which is set to take place at the museum located two miles east of South Haven.

Those looking to participate have two options – unlimited outdoor space for $5 or for those who prefer a more sheltered spot – $15 for pavilion space which includes two tables and two chairs.

Registration for participants will take place from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, with the event opening up to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Admission is $1.00 for non-exhibitors, with kids 12 and under free.

“We wanted to add something that is different from our usual events,” explains Patrick Ingalls, president of the Michigan Flywheelers Museum. “While people are welcome to sell items, we are also hoping there will be a lot of trading and bartering going on.”

Ingalls added,  “This event is strictly for flowers, plants and tools. No furniture, clothing or household items. We want to keep it focused on those items.”

Proceeds from the event are earmarked for the museum’s $100,000 Challenge Grant. The grant is dedicated to the first phase of a transformative new entrance to the museum designed to make the property more accessible and improve the visitor experience at one of the region’s most popular historical destinations.

If you would like to donate items, rather than selling them n your own space, please drop off at the museum by Wednesday, May 20 before 3 p.m.

The Michigan Flywheelers Museum is located at 06285 68th Street, South Haven. More information can be found at www.michiganflywheelers.org or on Facebook.
