Author Damon Brown To Speak At Economic Club Of Southwestern Michigan

The Economic Club of Southwestern Michigan has announced its next guest speaker. It’s author and business coach Damon Brown, who will talk about his experiences conquering the business world. Lake Michigan College tells us more:

The Economic Club of Southwestern Michigan Speakers Series, hosted by The Mendel Center at Lake Michigan College, is presenting a professional development and networking event for young professionals, career changers, aspiring entrepreneurs, and college and high school students when it welcomes author and business coach Damon Brown on Tuesday, April 26, at 7 pm.

Damon Brown (damonbrown.net) helps side hustlers, solopreneurs, and other non-traditional creatives bloom. A best-selling author and 4x TED Speaker, Brown co-founded the popular platonic connection app Cuddlr and led it to acquisition within a year, all while being the primary caretaker of his infant first son. He now guides others through his consulting/coaching business, #BringYourWorth show on YouTube, and long-running Sane Success column in Inc. Magazine. He was recently Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Toledo Library (bit.ly/ToledoTalks).

Brown’s latest book, Career Remix: Get the Gig You Want with the Skills You’ve Got, is scheduled for release in January 2022. It is the follow-up to his critically-acclaimed Build from Now: How to Know Your Power, See Your Abundance & Nourish the World and the best-seller The Ultimate Bite-Sized Entrepreneur: 76 Ways to Boost Time, Productivity, & Focus on Your Big Idea.

During his inspirational and practical talk “How to Bring Your Worth,” Brown shares the best ways we can joyfully make a living off our craft, create business partnerships worthy of our skills, and truly be of service to others. Brown’s keynote presentation will be followed by a Q&A session and community gathering.

The first 150 ticket buyers will receive a complimentary copy of one of Brown’s books, Bring Your Worth or Build from Now. Six attendees who purchase their ticket by January 10 will be selected to receive a complimentary one-on-one virtual coaching session with Brown in advance of the event.

Tickets start at $20 and go on sale to the public Thursday, December 9, 10 am, at www.TheMendelCenter.com, by calling 269-927-8700, option 1, or by visiting The Mendel Center Box Office in person. The box office, located in the Grand Upton Hall Lobby, is open weekdays from 2 to 6 pm.
