Baroda Area Business Association Hosts Networking Events

“The Baroda Area Business Association’s mission is to engage, promote, and support Baroda area businesses and the community. We do this through events focused on helping businesses improve,” says BABA President Steve Salisbury.

On Wednesday, June 8th, the Baroda Area Business Association will be sponsoring Barrels, Bottles, and Brews, at Round Barn Public House from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Barrels, Bottles, & Brews is a networking group in Southwest Michigan that focuses on helping people and businesses become connected to their communities while supporting other local businesses. The group meets monthly at different locations across Southwest Michigan, and meetings are open to the public. BB&B provides opportunities to expand your contact list and share ideas, and there is no fee to attend this event.

The BB&B is a friendly group of go-getters, and encourages us to “Come enjoy the camaraderie and hang out. Whether you are a CEO, business owner, just starting out, or somewhere in-between, meet great people and enjoy great beer!”

On Thursday, June 23rd, BABA invites SCORE of Kalamazoo/Southwest Michigan to Chill Hill Winery in Baroda, for small business guidance in many forms. From 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m, representatives of SCORE will present how mentors can assist with business plans, marketing, financial questions, and more, through the over 50 years of experience SCORE brings to small, local businesses. In 2021, SCORE helped sixty-five new businesses get their start! This event at Chill Hill is free to attend.

At the BABA Mixer this past March, one of the members expressed:
“The whole community makes Baroda successful. Our businesses send their customers to other businesses. We appreciate each other, and we can’t do this alone.”
This statement, indicative of the drive this organization and its members have, is reason enough to start attending these events and become involved in communities that lift each other up. The Baroda Area Business Association currently has more than fifty members, with more joining this confident, supportive group of business owners every season.
