Bridgman’s Early Bird Eatery Expands the Brand Into Catering

We’ve all seen the Norman Rockwell imagery over the years, the perfect holiday dinner table complete with a delicious meal, a gaggle of happy family members eagerly awaiting the first bite, and the spirit of the season reflected in the joy emanating from the room. Unfortunately for many among us the lilting holiday music screeches to a halt like the needle skidding across the record player or the Griswold family turkey imploding into a pile of dried out bones.

It doesn’t have to be that way thanks to Mike & Jennifer Stone and their crew at The Early Bird Eatery which debuted earlier this year just off the crossroads in downtown Bridgman. Emboldened by the rave reviews that continue to pour in, and motivated to advance the business to a whole new level, the Stones are helping you to take their show on the road through creation of their exciting new Early Bird Catering unit, just in time for the busy holiday season.

Even if you are more than capable of recreating the “Rockwellesque” holiday dinner scene, maybe you’d like to have more time to spend with family and friends by staying out of the kitchen this time. The Early Bird Eatery at 9735 Red Arrow Highway in Bridgman employs fresh and innovative menus for their breakfast and lunch offerings, featuring good food from scratch.

With six months under their belts, owners Jennifer & Mike Stone have crafted Early Bird Catering in order to bring their culinary team’s special holiday menu to your personal dining table through an easy pick-up process at the restaurant.

Mike says the expansion is not just a whim, noting, “Catering has been part of our business plan from the beginning.” He adds, “We wanted to establish the Early Bird Eatery brand and build our following, and we have certainly been able to do that thanks to our local clientele and the tourists who vacation in Southwest Michigan. Our catering menu will offer a wide variety of options, and the ingredients are fresh and made from scratch to order.” Just like the meals in the house.

Mike and his culinary team have created The Early Bird Holiday Catering menu which includes main dishes, sides, and desserts.  The main dishes and sides serve 4-6 people (per order) and include prime rib, braised lamb shanks, glazed ham; a wide choice of sides including scalloped potato pave, Brussel sprouts, house-made buttermilk biscuits; and delectable desserts including a choice of chocolate éclair and pecan pies. Another favorite for the holidays, catering clients can order a ready-to-bake breakfast casserole of eggs, caramelized onion, sausage, gruyere, and potato.

Jennifer tells us, “The Early Bird Eatery Holiday Catering Menu has a lot of choices,” and adds, “We want people to enjoy the holidays, and now they can since we are eliminating the stress of cooking.” Catering orders are being accepted through Friday, December 20th, at 3 pm, and can be picked up at the Bridgman restaurant between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Monday, December 24th, 2018.
