As construction continues on the long-awaited connection tying I-94 and US-31 together in Benton Harbor, westbound travelers on the I-94 Business Route in Benton Harbor, which is also East Main Street, will find a total blockade from now until the day before Thanksgiving.
The Michigan Department of Transportation says construction from Exit 33 onto the Business Route running all the way to Walnut Street in the city is forcing total closure of that road beginning today, Tuesday, November 10th and running through Wednesday, November 25th which is Thanksgiving Eve.
MDOT says that traffic will be detoured ont0 westbound I-94 to the Napier Avenue Exit 30 and M-139 during the construction period.
