I-196 Travelers Face Daily Lane Closures Near Saugatuck Next Week

If your travels in the week ahead take you over the river and through the woods for Christmas, here’s a heads up for you if that river happens to be the Kalamazoo River at Saugatuck.

The Michigan Department of Transportation tells us that there will be daily lane closures on southbound I-196 between 7am and 6pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday running from 140th Avenue to 130th Avenue, or Wiley Road.

The closures are for MDOT crews to effect road work, although they are weather dependent.
