LMC Faculty Hosting Spring Tour Days on BH Campus

Lots of people take campus tours at the colleges they hope to attend some day, but it’s not all that often that the tour itself includes face-to-face opportunities to meet the faculty members who teach the academic programs a student might be most interested in. Lake Michigan College is, however, doing just that.

The management team at Lake Michigan College tells us the institution will be hosting four campus tour days this spring on their Benton Harbor campus, and those tours will include opportunities for students to meet with faculty who teach in their academic programs of interest.

Jeremy Schaeffer, Director of Admissions & Recruitment at LMC says, “It’s great for prospective students to get their college and career questions answered directly by professors who are experts in their fields, and for students with similar interests to meet each other.” Schaeffer adds, “Tour days highlighting specific areas of study are a great way to showcase LMC’s growing campus and new academic program spaces.”

Each month from now until May has one Saturday tour day. The first is this Saturday, February 15th with a faculty session focused on Manufacturing, Energy and Technology. The next one is March 14th with faculty in the Wine & Viticulture and Visual & Performing Arts programs. The April 11th date is focused on Arts & Sciences and Health Sciences, and lastly the May 17th tour will have a session with faculty from Business and Computer Information Systems. Students who participate in a tour are welcome to stay for the faculty portion, however, they are not required to do so.

Students who plan to attend college in the 2020-21 academic year are strongly encouraged to attend these great close-up sessions.
