The South Haven Theatre Series presents WINSTON CHURCHILL: The Blitz at 7:30pm on Saturday, August 16 in Listiak Auditorium, 600 Elkenburg St. Randy Otto transports the audience to a London rooftop, where Churchill heroically leads his country to Victory in the face of the terrifying German bombing of London.
The scene is Autumn 1940, London. Never have so many been so inspired by one man heroically leading the British people to Victory. The audience lives through one night of The Blitz, the German bombing of London. But never fear. Winston is here!
WINSTON CHURCHIL: The Blitz stars Randy Otto. Churchill’s great grandson Jonathan Sandys exclaimed “I have heard many people attempt to play the role of my great-grandfather, but without hesitation, Randy Otto takes the role to a whole new level. Randy does not attempt to be Winston Churchill; Randy IS Winston Churchill.”
The show includes a multimedia of period film, photos, sound & lighting effects, and pigeons! Winston leads the audience in a rousing British Music Hall Sing-Along … and then ‘Ask Winston’ an interactive Q&A with Winston.
Tickets are $15 for adults and free for children and students. Avoid the line for tickets at the door by purchasing them online at www.southhaventheatreseries.org .
The performance has been supported by a grant from the South Haven Area Community Foundation.
