National Blueberry Festival Starts Thursday in South Haven

The National Blueberry Festival is back in South Haven from Thursday through Sunday. It is the first full festival since 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Board of Directors chairwoman Kim Wise says the parade will return for the first time since then, too.

“There’s a new parade route. It’s shortened, so please check out our website for that route, and we will have it posted around town as well,” says Wise.

There will be concerts starting Thursday with South Haven’s own Nate Barnes, followed Friday by Led Zeppelin 2, and Saturday with Sweet Diesel Jenkins. A 5K run and walk will be Saturday morning. Wise says they are also working to make parking easier downtown.

“We want to make that a bit easier, so we have Van Buren Transit coming in. They are going to do routes around town, and you can park at the Senior Services building. That way you don’t have to struggle to find a spot downtown.”
