CE Competitive Edge wants to outfit the little fish too — including small business, small groups and after-school clubs.
The Stevensville-based company launched its CE Shirt Wizard product tool this week, giving customers the option to order custom apparel online without paying high setup-costs, ordering large quantities or waiting long manufacturing delays.
“It’s exciting new technology,” said Mary Jo Tomasini, Competitive Edge CEO. “A lot of times with low minimum orders there are only very basic products available, but with this you can completely customize your shirt, colors, patterns, and logos.
“Custom orders can often take 12-14 weeks to produce, but with this new tool we can have them done in a month.”
The company already received its first order with the new technology from a United States Marine Corps unit.
“We’re marketing it toward our corporate customers because a lot of them are putting together smaller strategy teams and team events,” Tomasini said.
“We’re also licensed for several collegiate accounts, so we’re hoping to draw in some Big-10 sport club teams and student groups. It’s great for them so we can manufacture small minimums and not pay exorbitant setup charges or have to wait a long time.”
